ICA’s Four Focus Areas
Designed to provide a critical catalyst in addressing the needs and opportunities of midsized to larger enterprises, ICA key offerings are as follows:
1) General Management Consulting
Projects to help strengthen and “operationalize” company guiding principles, translating strategic plans and objectives into action, pursuing profitable market development, organization planning, improved operational execution, attaining healthy board governance, interim CEO work and crisis triage, as well as one-time or systematic CEO/COO coaching engagements and leveraging business as a platform for ministering to internal and external stakeholders. [This work is primarily delivered by Don Barefoot, a proven CEO and CEO coach, with assistance as needed from ICA’s other topnotch senior consultants]
2) Organization Development
Projects, assessments, and “guaranteed” retained executive searches aimed at shoring-up organizational weaknesses and addressing newly-identified needs, as well as enhancing teamwork, addressing dysfunctional executive behavior, and investing in staff personal development (e.g., 360 degree reviews, executive/team and core competency assessments, systematic succession planning, performance and compensation management, coaching, etc.). [This work is primarily delivered by Dave McCuaig and Dr. Gary Patrick, in collaboration with Don Barefoot]
3) Operational Fitness & Supply Chain Management
Enhancing team execution in areas vital to profitably executing the business plan and providing the value, delivery responsiveness, and quality necessary to satisfy even your most demanding target clients. Typical projects may involve integrated sales & operation planning (S&OP), lean value streams, enhanced materials planning and control, instilling 80/20 discipline in key performance tracking areas, etc. [This work is primarily delivered by Randy Guthrie, in collaboration with Don Barefoot]
4) Specific Value-Added Projects to Support Company Strategy Development
Timely and objective information to engage and stretch senior leadership’s capacity and awareness in key areas and to protect against “blind spots” due to familiarity. For example: objective overall company assessment vs. potential, competitive benchmarking, M&A due diligence, independent recommendations regarding strategic growth options, operational planning opportunities, and organizational planning strengths and weaknesses. [Work delivered by the ICA consultants most ideally suited to address each client’s specific needs]
